Baseball Recap: Thomas Jefferson Starts Season with Win Against Littleton

Thomas Jefferson gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 11-9 win over the Littleton Lions. That's more bragging rights for the Spartans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Thomas Jefferson got a big performance out of Jesus Flores-Sanchez, who scored a run and stole Three bases. while getting on base in two of his five plate appearances. The dominant performance gave Flores-Sanchez a new career-high in stolen bases. Alexander Berry was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-1.

Thomas Jefferson has already played their next contest, a 4-3 loss against Longmont on the 8th. As for Littleton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 9-6 defeat against Smoky Hill on the 11th.
