Softball Recap: Grand Prairie Comes Up Short

Grand Prairie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 11-1 to the South Grand Prairie Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-1 back in March.

Grand Prairie saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Leslie Perez, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Grand Prairie's defeat dropped their record down to 9-16. As for South Grand Prairie, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 14-8-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Grand Prairie will square off against rival Sam Houston at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, South Grand Prairie is set to take on their familiar foe Haltom at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
