Morse benefitted from Simmons in 4-3 defeat
Sadly, David Simmons posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Morse over Southeast Career Tech on Thursday. Simmons was dynamite, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive pitching appearances.
Simmons and Morse will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on University City at 4:00 p.m. on April 8th. Simmons has dominated as far as hits are concerned (he's averaged 0.3 per game this season), but he's got his work cut out for him considering University City has only allowed 5.86 per game this season.
