Baseball Recap: Conneaut Area Eagles vs. Cochranton Cardinals
Conneaut Area gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Cochranton Cardinals as the Conneaut Area Eagles made off with a 9-1 win. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Alex Wilpula was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and only one walk). Wilpula was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one double.

In other batting news, Caiden Loucks was incredible, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Chase Stewart was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
