Softball Recap: Perquimans Extends Home Winning Streak to 11

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Perquimans). They never let the Bertie Falcons get on the board and left with an 18-0 win on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won seven in a row.

Perquimans pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Bertie, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-6.
