Softball Recap: Orthopaedic Vipers vs. Central City Value Jaguars
Orthopaedic won the last time they faced Central City Value and things went their way on Monday too. The Vipers blew past the Jaguars 13-2. The result was nothing new for the Vipers, who have now won five contests by nine runs or more so far this season.
Alexa Becerra made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged two or more in each of the last five games she's played.

In other batting news, Melanie Garcia and Elizabeth Ajin did most of the damage at the plate: Garcia went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one stolen base, while Ajin scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-2.
