Softball Recap: Algonac Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Utica, Algonac was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-9 victory over the Lake Orion Dragons. The high-scoring effort was just what the Muskrats needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

The team relied heavily on Autumn Dueweke, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Ava Murray, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

With the win, Algonac broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 14-14. As for Lake Orion, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-9-1.

Coming up, Algonac will face off against New Haven at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lake Orion does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
