Recap: Chilton County Tigers vs. Benjamin Russell Wildcats
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Prattville, the Chilton County Tigers were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They strolled past Benjamin Russell with points to spare, taking the game 49-33. Given Chilton County's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 123rd, while Benjamin Russell is ranked 281st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chilton County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Iasia Anderson, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 steals. Anderson is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least three every time she's taken the court this season. Tyeshia Williams was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 18 rebounds and seven assists.
Chilton County has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-10 record this season. As for Benjamin Russell, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.
