The Bluegrass United Bluehawks will take on the Paris Greyhounds in a holiday battle at 12:00 p.m. on Monday at. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Bluegrass United has four straight wins, Paris has seven straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Bluegrass United has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 25 points or more this season. They blew past Louisville Saints HomeSchool 56-15 at home. With Bluegrass United ahead 42-10 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Bluegrass United's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Piper Graham, who scored 11 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. Those seven steals set a new season-high mark for her. Grace Hanlon was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Paris' 21-9 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They had to suffer through a rough 67-34 loss at the hands of Nicholas County. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Paris has scored all season.
Bluegrass United's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Paris, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
