Recap: Deubrook Dolphins vs. Madison Bulldogs
After flying high against the Oldham-Ramona/R Rutland last Friday, the Deubrook Dolphins came back down to earth. Deubrook was outmatched by Madison on the road and fell 73-41. Deubrook lost against Madison in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 76-42 score last time.
Despite the loss, Deubrook still got an impressive performance from Jake Jorenby, who scored 22 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Isaac Gass, who scored eight points.
Deubrook's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Madison, their win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Deubrook is on the road again on Friday and play against Chester at 6:00 p.m. on December 22nd. As for Madison, they will face off against Baltic at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Dakota (Baltic is ranked 24th, while Madison is ranked 49th).
