C Little Ten recap Nov. 7, 2012
John Bapst Memorial was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after topping Orono. The Crusaders came in at 22 in the state poll after placing at number 28 last week.
John Bapst Memorial extended the longest winning streak in C Little Ten this week by beating the Riots, 30-22. The victory was the fourth in a row for Dan O'Connell's team.
Bucksport's Matthew Stewart and Josh Gray have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Stewart has thrown for 811 yards this season, while Gray, a 5-foot-5 receiver, has 34 catches for 451 yards. Johnathan Santiago from Maine Central Institute leads the league in rushing with 877 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Foxcroft and the Crusaders. The Ponies enters the game ranked eighth in the state, while John Bapst Memorial ranks 22nd.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Foxcroft takes on the Crusaders. Danny White's team has allowed 107 points this season, while John Bapst Memorial has given up 131. The Ponies allowed 0 points last week as they bested the Golden Bucks.
Foxcroft took down Bucksport 45-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
