The Berne Union Rockets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They suffered a tough 55-30 defeat at the hands of Fairfield Christian Academy. Berne Union has struggled against Fairfield Christian Academy recently, as their game on Saturday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
JP Vance was the offensive standout of the match as he scored 23 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Danny Blair, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
Berne Union bumped their record down to 0-3 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Fairfield Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 1-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Berne Union will square off against Grove City Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Grove City Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Saturday. As for Fairfield Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Fisher Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fisher Catholic and Fairfield Christian Academy are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
