Baseball Recap: Pius X Thunderbolts vs. Standing Bear Grizzlies

Pius X played against Standing Bear on Friday and won via forfeit.

Porter Maxson looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs but no hits.

On the hitting side, Kai Vanis was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Brecken Bokowski was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Pius X's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Standing Bear, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
