Softball Recap: Yankton Takes a Loss

Yankton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Lincoln Patriots, falling 16-5. If the Bucks/Gazelles were looking for revenge after losing 12-0 to the Patriots when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Yankton's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Lincoln, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Patriots beat Yankton by a score of 15-5 later that day.
