 After flying high against McFarland  last Thursday, Wasco came back down to earth. The Wasco Tigers'  rough  10-3 defeat to the Pioneer Valley Panthers  on Friday might stick with them for a while.
 Wasco saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Matthew Wimberly, who  went 1-for-3 with a  stolen base and two  RBI.  Diego Cortez was another key contributor,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
 On Pioneer Valley's side,  Ruben Ramirez tossed a big game,   not allowing a single  earned run over five innings pitched.  Manuel Ramirez relieved him and did a solid job,   tossing two innings while giving up   no  earned run off   two  hits (he also didn't allow any  walks).
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Elias Giddings, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 Wasco's loss dropped their record down to 5-4-1. As for Pioneer Valley,  the  victory  made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 10-2.
 Wasco will be staying on the road  on Monday to face off against Tulare Union at 11:30  a.m. Wasco is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 6.3  runs per game this season. As for Pioneer Valley, they will head out on the road to  take on  Morro Bay at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Pioneer Valley's pitching crew has only allowed 2.6  runs per game  this season, so Morro Bay's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
