Madison County came tearing into Friday's contest with ten straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 5-2 win over the Belgreen Bulldogs.

Breanna Caputo spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on two hits.

On the hitting side, Madison County got a big performance out of Livy Huter, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one triple. Another player making a difference was Sydney Gurley, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and two RBI.

Madison County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .391 or higher in six consecutive matchups.

Madison County's victory bumped their record up to 25-10. As for Belgreen, they moved to 24-13 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Madison County will be playing in front of their home fans against Sparkman at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Belgreen, they will venture away from home to square off against Tharptown at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
