Basketball Game Preview: Cedar Springs Red Hawks vs. Wayland Wildcats

Cedar Springs and Wayland are an even 4-4 against one another since February of 2021, but not for long. The Cedar Springs Red Hawks will take on the Wayland Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Cedar Springs easily dispatched Comstock Park on Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Cedar Springs fell just short of Jenison by a score of 58-55 on Tuesday. The Red Hawks haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Meanwhile, Wayland put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Hopkins by a score of 66-55. While the Wildcats didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-20), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Wayland's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Cedar Springs, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Cedar Springs beat Wayland 57-46 in their previous meeting back in February. Does Cedar Springs have another victory up their sleeve, or will Wayland turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
