Volleyball Recap: Sycamore Comes Up Short

Sycamore lost against Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy back in August of 2018 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Aviators took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Aviators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-16.

Sycamore's offense was headlined by Kennedy Mallory and Sadie Ellis, who picked up five kills apiece. Mallory also shared the team's lead in assists with Lucy Bell: they picked up six each.

Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Grace Ingle out in front who had eight digs and three assists.

Sycamore's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Sycamore will face off against Seton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy has already played their next matchup (against Notre Dame Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
