Softball Recap: Washington Falls Short Against Ranked Jefferson

Washington faced Jefferson in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Patriots came up short against the Cougars, falling 11-2. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Patriots, who until this match were averaging 2.29 runs allowed.

Washington saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mckenzie O'Hara, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double.

Washington's loss dropped their record down to 16-4-1. As for Jefferson, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-3.

As of now, neither Washington nor the Cougars have any future games scheduled.
