Volleyball Recap: Mundelein Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Mundelein lost to Grant Community back in May of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Mustangs came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 2-0. The win was familiar territory for the Mustangs, who have now won three matchups in a row.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Mundelein was: they took both sets by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-15.

Kevin Mann paced Mundelein's offense, picking up eight kills. Mann got some help from Zack Nocera and his 19 assists.

Mundelein pushed their record up to 25-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Grant Community, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-21 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mundelein will welcome Lake Forest at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Scouts will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Grant Community, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Huntley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
