Softball Recap: Monomoy Comes Up Short

Monomoy and Pittsfield squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Monomoy had to settle for second. They came up short against the Generals, falling 10-3. The Sharks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kate Huse was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Monomoy's defeat dropped their record down to 13-3. As for Pittsfield, they moved to 8-13 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Monomoy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pittsfield, they will take on Uxbridge on Wednesday. The Spartans' pitching crew has only allowed 0.9 runs per game this season, so the Generals' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
