Basketball Recap: Guthrie Comes Up Short

Guthrie was the 71-43 winner over Nathan Hale when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Guthrie Bluejays took a 62-45 bruising from the Nathan Hale Rangers on Tuesday. The Bluejays just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

Guthrie's loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Nathan Hale, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-13 and their overall record up to 3-18.

Guthrie and Nathan Hale could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings. Guthrie will face off against Claremore at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday down 148 places (280 vs. 132). Meanwhile, Nathan Hale (ranked 313th) will meet Shawnee (ranked 124th) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
