Baseball Recap: Aptos Takes a Loss

Aptos came up short against St. Monica on Wednesday and fell 6-2.

Aptos saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dom Castillo, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

Aptos has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for St. Monica, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Aptos will venture away from home to face off against San Lorenzo Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mariners are facing the Cougars at the right time seeing as the Cougars are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for St. Monica, they are taking a road trip to square off against Watsonville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mariners will need to watch out since the Wildcatz have now posted at least ten runs in their last nine contests.
