Football Game Preview: Carpinteria Warriors vs. Santa Clara Saints

The Carpinteria Warriors will square off against the Santa Clara Saints at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Carpinteria and six for Santa Clara dating back to last season.

Carpinteria is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Santa Paula on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Warriors took a blow against the Cardinals, falling 43-10. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-3.

Meanwhile, Santa Clara lost 28-6 to Duarte last Thursday. The Saints were down 20-0 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Carpinteria's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Santa Clara, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.
