Basketball Recap: East Union Falls Short of Twelve Bridges in the Playoffs

East Union and Twelve Bridges squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but East Union had to settle for second. The matchup between them and the Twelve Bridges Raging Rhinos didn't end well, with the East Union Lancers falling 52-37. While losing is never fun, the Lancers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 542nd, while the Raging Rhinos are ranked 206th).

East Union has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-13 record this season. The victory made it two in a row for Twelve Bridges and bumps their season record up to 22-7.

East Union does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Twelve Bridges, they will face off against River Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. River Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Twelve Bridges likes a good challenge.
