Section 5 Livingston II recap October 8, 2013
Le Roy added to the longest winning streak in Section 5 Livingston II this week by beating Avon, 34-17. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Bishop Kearney and Letchworth played the closest game in the league this week, with Bishop Kearney eventually emerging with a 40-38 victory.
Mike McMullen threw for 133 yards and 3 touchdowns. He went 9-14 with 1 interception.
Joey Sotak provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Braves lost to Le Roy. He completed 11 passes for 141 yards and also ran for 127 yards. Sotak's favorite target this week was Brandon Mynter, who caught 4 passes for 73 yards.
Mynter was the best receiver in the league this week as Avon fell to Brian Moran's team. Mynter tallied 4 receptions for 73 yards. Austin Henderson helped Avon's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 30 yards.
The Kings' Tyler Kirton and JO JO Gause have formed a dream team this season, leading Section 5 Livingston II in both passing and receiving yards. 5-10 quarterback Kirton has thrown for 1,262 yards this season, while Gause has 32 catches for 536 yards. Sotak from Andy Englert's team leads the league in rushing with 516 yards.
Caledonia-Mumford led the league in scoring this week by notching 42 points on Warsaw.
