Volleyball Recap: Christian Comes Up Short

After flying high against Patrick Henry on Friday, Christian came back down to earth. The Patriots took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Scripps Ranch Falcons on Tuesday. The Patriots were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Falcons earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

The final score came out to 25-18, 22-25, 25-10, 25-19.

Raynee Schendel paced Christian's offense, picking up 12 kills. Schendel got some help from Maxim? Pheasant and her 26 assists.

Christian has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-10 record this season. As for Scripps Ranch, their win ended a four-match drought on the road and puts them at 20-14.

Coming up, Christian will square off against Academy of Our Lady of Peace at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Scripps Ranch, they will challenge Cathedral Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
