Bishop Montgomery has gone 7-1 against Cathedral recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Bishop Montgomery Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Cathedral Phantoms at 5:00 p.m. The last three games Bishop Montgomery has played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Bishop Montgomery is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Palos Verdes just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Sea Kings by a score of 3-2.

Cathedral not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 23, 2024. They blew past Bosco Tech 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Phantoms.

Cathedral never let Bosco Tech on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-23, 25-15.

Bishop Montgomery's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Cathedral, their win bumped their record up to 7-8.

Bishop Montgomery skirted past Cathedral 3-2 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Does Bishop Montgomery have another victory up their sleeve, or will Cathedral turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
