Baseball Recap: St. Marys Comes Up Short

St. Marys lost against Tyler back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Blue Devils lost 14-4 to the Knights. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Casey Burkhammer made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3. Kyle Bullman was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

St. Marys' defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Tyler, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. St. Marys is set to square off against their familiar foe Williamstown at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Tyler will challenge rival South Harrison at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
