Volleyball Recap: Buhler Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Buhler was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Newton Railroaders. The Crusaders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Railroaders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Buhler sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 21-25, 25-21.

Emma Gering had an outrageously good game for Newton as she had 20 digs and one assist. Those 20 digs gave Gering a new career-high.

Buhler's loss dropped their record down to 2-13-1. As for Newton, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-14 record this season.

Buhler didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 0-0 tie against Mulvane on the 30th. As for Newton, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Andale on the 27th.
