A feisty cat fight will be fought as Panther Creek Panthers face off against Celina Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Panther Creek is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.8 runs per game this season.

Panther Creek was handed a ten-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Lake Dallas, sneaking past 11-10. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Panthers considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

Madison Campbell was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Malvaiz, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Celina). They put the hurt on Gainesville with a sharp 18-2 win on Tuesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bobcats considering their one-run performance the game before.

Panther Creek pushed their record up to 10-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Celina, their win bumped their record up to 3-12.

Panther Creek took their victory against Celina in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 9-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Panther Creek since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
