Basketball Game Preview: Panguitch Bobcats vs. Bryce Valley Mustangs

The Panguitch Bobcats will face off against the Bryce Valley Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Panguitch has seven straight wins, Bryce Valley has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Friday, everything went Panguitch's way against Wayne as Panguitch made off with a 70-45 victory. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 41-19.

Panguitch got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Maddix Johnson out in front who went 6 of 9 from beyond the arc en route to 20 points and five boards. Remme Chappell was another key player, going 6 for 9 on his way to 16 points and seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, Bryce Valley lost to Piute at home by a 65-51 margin last Thursday.

Panguitch's victory was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.8 points per game. As for Bryce Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-11.

Panguitch beat Bryce Valley 56-44 in their previous meeting back in January. Will Panguitch repeat their success, or does Bryce Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
