Softball Recap: Rosemont's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

Rosemont had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against the Galt Warriors on Tuesday as the Rosemont Wolverines made off with an 8-1 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Wolverines, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Talia Adams was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed seven innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Jalaya Cozart was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Gabriyanna Vegafria, who scored a run and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-4.

Rosemont picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-6. As for Galt, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rosemont will head out to square off against McClatchy at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Galt, they are taking a road trip to take on Bradshaw Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
