Soccer Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Lee County

Lee County took a three-goal defeat the last time they faced off against Southern Lee, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Yellow Jackets won by a goal and slipped past the Cavaliers 3-2. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Lee County's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 184th, while Southern Lee are ranked 399th).

Lee County hit Southern Lee with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Omar Lagunas, Christian Ochoa, and Adrain Trujillio.

The win was the third in a row for Lee County, bringing their record up to 9-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored nine goals over those three matches. As for Southern Lee, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9-1 record this season.
