Basketball Game Preview: Hiland Hawks vs. Harvest Prep Warriors

If Hiland beats Harvest Prep with 59 points on Saturday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. Hiland blew past Sandy Valley 59-23 on Friday. The Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Harvest Prep was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 67-61 to Pickerington Central. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hiland will need focus on slowing down Khalil Daniels, one of several Harvest Prep players who made an impact when they last played. He dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. Daniels has become a key player for Harvest Prep: the team is 8-4 when he posts at least eight boards, but 2-4 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Brandon Roddy, who went 6 for 11 on his way to 17 points and five rebounds.

Hiland pushed their record up to 15-0 with the win, which was their 22nd straight at home dating back to last season. As for Harvest Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.
