Central has gone 8-2 against Cary-Grove recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Central Rockets will welcome the Cary-Grove Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Central is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.

Last Wednesday, Central didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Hampshire, but they still walked away with a 64-58 victory. Given the Rockets' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 86th, while the Whip-Purs are ranked 308th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Cary-Grove was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 49-44 to McHenry. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Central pushed their record up to 22-8 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.2 points over those games. As for Cary-Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-13.
