Football Game Preview: Archbishop Hoban Knights vs. St. Edward Eagles

Archbishop Hoban is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Friday. They will host the St. Edward Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Archbishop Hoban is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another highly-ranked state team: Central York, who was ranked 24th in their home state at the time (Archbishop Hoban was ranked fourth). The Knights blew past the Panthers 46-21 on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Knights sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Meanwhile, St. Edward made easy work of Archbishop Moeller on Saturday and carried off a 35-10 victory. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-3.

Archbishop Hoban's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for St. Edward, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.

Archbishop Hoban skirted past St. Edward 24-21 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
