Volleyball Recap: Green Bay East Red Devils vs. Seymour Thunder
Green Bay East extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 13 on Tuesday, dropping them down to 0-10. They came up short against the Seymour Thunder, falling 3-0. If the Red Devils were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Thunder when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Tiana Perez paced Green Bay East's offense, picking up four kills. Perez got some help from Sarahi Plascencia and her five assists. Maya Rodriguez controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
As for Seymour, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-13 record this season. They not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 15, 2024 (when they won 3-0).
Among those leading the charge was Bree Schuettpelz, who had 11 digs and two aces. What's more, she posted three assists, the most she's had since back in August. Savana Smith also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assists of the season.
We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Green Bay East will challenge rival Shawano Community at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Seymour is set to square off against their familiar foe Green Bay West at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
