Baseball Recap: Alden-Hebron Comes Up Short

Alden-Hebron couldn't beat Ashton-Franklin Center on Tuesday even though they stacked five runs on them in the first inning. The Green Giants came up short against the Raiders, falling 22-8. The loss continues a trend for the Green Giants in their meetings with the Raiders: they've now lost three in a row.

Alden-Hebron saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aldo Carreno, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

Alden-Hebron's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Ashton-Franklin Center, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alden-Hebron will take on Earlville/Leland/Paw Paw at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Ashton-Franklin Center, they will square off against Dakota at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Indians will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Raiders surely won't give up without a fight.
