Football Game Preview: Tylertown Chiefs vs. St. Stanislaus Rock-a-Chaws + Official Tickets

The Tylertown Chiefs will venture away from home to square off against the St. Stanislaus Rock-a-Chaws at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Tylertown is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering West Marion just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Friday. They and the Trojans were almost perfectly matched up, but they suffered a 35-34 loss. The Chiefs gained 127 more yards on the day, but it was the Trojans that made the best use of them.

Despite the defeat, Tylertown got top-tier performance from Keonnis Davis, who threw for 372 yards and four TDs while picking up 12.8 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 83 yards on only 11 carries. The Chiefs also got help from Landon Thompson, who showed off his sure hands for 130 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, St. Stanislaus played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 42-7 loss at the hands of Stone. The Rock-a-Chaws were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-0.

St. Stanislaus' defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Tylertown, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Friday's game might be decided in the trenches. Tylertown has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 187.3 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for St. Stanislaus, though, as they've been averaging only 54.2 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?

Everything came up roses for Tylertown against St. Stanislaus when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 50-21 victory. In that matchup, the Chiefs amassed a halftime lead of 36-7, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
