Volleyball Recap: Corliss Comes Up Short

Corliss was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Richards Warriors. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojans of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2021.

While Corliss was not able to win a set, they sure kept things interesting: every set was decided by exactly two points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-23.

Corliss' defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Richards, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season.

Corliss will be playing in front of their home fans against Harlan at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Richards has already played their next game (against Christian Fenger Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
