Baseball Recap: ALA - Gilbert North Sets Scoring Season-High Against Cactus

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask ALA - Gilbert North). They blew past the Cactus Cobras 19-6 on Thursday. With that win, the Eagles brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.

Bryson Landon was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because ALA - Gilbert North is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-7 otherwise. Landon was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tate Clarkson, who scored four runs and stole six bases while going 3-for-3. As for Cactus, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season.
