Baseball Game Preview: Casteel Colts vs. Perry Pumas

The Casteel Colts will head out to face off against the Perry Pumas at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Casteel's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so Perry's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Casteel is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Corona del Sol just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Friday. They came up short against the Aztecs, falling 15-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Colts have suffered since May 20, 2025.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Perry was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They fell 5-1 to Brophy College Prep. The Pumas haven't had much luck with the Broncos recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Perry saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Lee, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Perry's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14-2. As for Casteel, their loss dropped their record down to 16-4.
