Baseball Recap: Dinwiddie Comes Up Short

Dinwiddie suffered their biggest loss since May 24, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 9-1 to the Matoaca Warriors. The defeat continues a trend for the Generals in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost six in a row.

Dinwiddie's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Matoaca, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-4.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Dinwiddie will take on rival Hopewell at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Generals 3.8, the Blue Devils 4.1) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Matoaca is set to square off against their familiar foe Colonial Heights at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
