Basketball Game Preview: Hockinson Hawks vs. Columbia River Rapids

Hockinson hasn't had much luck against Columbia River recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Hockinson Hawks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Columbia River Rapids at 7:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, Hockinson took a blow against Mark Morris, falling 77-42. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 287th, while the Monarchs are ranked 56th).

Meanwhile, Columbia River entered their tilt with Hudson's Bay on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Eagles 83-43. The Rapids have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 23 points or more this season.

Columbia River pushed their record up to 9-2 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.6 points per game. As for Hockinson, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
