Baseball Recap: Franklin Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Franklin's offense. They came up short against the South Lyon East Cougars on Friday, falling 10-0. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Patriots' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Franklin's loss dropped their record down to 10-5. As for South Lyon East, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-8-2.

Looking ahead, Franklin will host Mattawan at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Patriots 3, the Wildcats 3) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for South Lyon East, they are taking a road trip to face off against Walled Lake Western at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
