Basketball Recap: Tipton's Losing Streak Snapped at Six Games

There's no place like home for Tipton, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They walked away with a 38-31 victory over the Taylor Titans on Wednesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Blue Devils as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

Tipton was led to victory by Mackenzie Farinella and Hollyn Wilson. Farinella posted 14 points along with six rebounds and four steals, while Wilson dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Those 11 boards gave Wilson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennedy Lancaster, who put up five points.

Despite the loss, Taylor still got an impressive performance from Jallainah Harris, who made all 5 shots she took racking up 10 points.

Tipton's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-6. As for Taylor, they dropped their record down to 2-7 with the defeat, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Tipton will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Elwood at 6:30 p.m. As for Taylor, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 65-20 loss against Alexandria-Monroe on the 7th.
