Softball Recap: Winterboro Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Winterboro and Woodland squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Winterboro had to settle for second. They came up short against the Bobcats, falling 14-4. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, with their most recent defeat being a 12-0 loss on April 8th.

Winterboro has also been struggling recently as they've lost 14 of their last 15 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-22 record this season. As for Woodland, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 18 of their last 21 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-7 record this season.

Winterboro does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Woodland, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-0 win against Fayetteville on the 28th.
