Basketball Recap: Robstown Comes Up Short

Robstown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a blow against the Sinton Pirates, falling 58-14. While losing is never fun, the Cottonpickers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1120th, while the Pirates are ranked 385th).

Robstown's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Sinton, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-5.

Robstown and Sinton will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Cottonpickers will square off against rival Zapata at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Sinton is set to face off against their familiar foe Calhoun at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
