Mount Vernon dropped their record down to 20-7 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the New Diana Eagles, falling 12-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Tigers have suffered since February 27th.

Carsen Summerlin made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged two or more in each of the last three games he's played.

As for New Diana, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 19-6-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games.

On New Diana's side, they got a big performance out of Levi Green, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Landon Melton, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mount Vernon will face off against Frankston at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for New Diana, they will host Tatum at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tatum will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
